‘Dream it, Believe it, Achieve it.’

Welcome

Our aim is to make every child feel valued and happy because that is when learning is most effective.

Austen

A very well done to all of Austen class for their hard work this half term. We have learned lots on "why Britain changed forever in 1066" and this was perfectly shown by some truly amazing castles. We hope you have an amazing half term holiday, don't forget to carry on reading and learning those times tables.

We'll win that reading award next half term for sure!

Mr White and Mrs Cotter

A warm welcome back to a chilly second half term!

Our topic this half term is "WHO WANTS TO SWAP WITH A VICTORIAN?" so we will be learning all about Victorian life, both in Southend, and all across Britain and the world.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

For the Fallen

BY LAURENCE BINYON

A big well done to the whole of year 5 today for their superb questions at the Southend Cenotaph. They showed outstanding respect and were a credit to the school. Hopefully they have learned just a small amount about the massive sacrifices made so that we might enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Keep up the good work,

Mr White and Mrs Cotter

As we come to the end of another term here at Milton Hall we've taken the opportunity to complete lots of tests to see just how much we've learned. It turns out we've learned lots, which is excellent news! As a reward for all this hard work I will not be sending any homework home this week or next, however I expect you to enjoy every minute of your holidays and be nice to your families.

A quick well done to Poppy, Charleigh, Alexandra, Andrew, Lea, Tasawar and Theo who have got all of their spellings correct this week. An extra special well done goes out to Lea and Charleigh as they have got 100% the most out of the whole class, a whopping 11 times out of a possible 14 times! You both should be incredibly proud of your achievement.

A very Merry Christmas to all of Austen,

Mr White and Mrs Cotter.
