Milton Hall Primary School

‘Dream it, Believe it, Achieve it.’

Welcome

Our aim is to make every child feel valued and happy because that is when learning is most effective.

Austen

A very well done to all of Austen class for their hard work this half term. We have learned lots on "why Britain changed forever in 1066" and this was perfectly shown by some truly amazing castles. We hope you have an amazing half term holiday, don't forget to carry on reading and learning those times tables.

We'll win that reading award next half term for sure!

Mr White and Mrs Cotter

A warm welcome back to a chilly second half term!

Our topic this half term is "WHO WANTS TO SWAP WITH A VICTORIAN?" so we will be learning all about Victorian life, both in Southend, and all across Britain and the world.

A big well done to Isla, Charleigh, Dario, Alexandra, Joe, Andrew, Lea, Tasawar, Dibyam and Nathaniel for getting all of their spellings correct today. For next week's spellings will be revising the doubling rule, so our spellings will be: Swimming, Shopping, Hopped, Flipper, Thinnest, Rotten, Grubby, Clapping, Drummer, Muddy.

Finally another big well done to Leos and Veronika as they have made it on to the next level of times tables tests.

Keep up the good work,

Mr White and Mrs Cotter

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

For the Fallen

BY LAURENCE BINYON

A big well done to the whole of year 5 today for their superb questions at the Southend Cenotaph. They showed outstanding respect and were a credit to the school. Hopefully they have learned just a small amount about the massive sacrifices made so that we might enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Well done also to Poppy, Charleigh, Ethan, Adam, Dorka, Yasmin, Hashim, Alexandra, Joe, Andrew, Lea, Tasawar, Theo, Dibyam and Sophie for getting all of their spellings correct today. For next week's spellings will be revising the -ible suffix, so our spellings will be: Possible, Reversible, Sensible, Edible, Visible, Terrible, Credible, Legible, Horrible, Responsible.

Keep up the good work,

Mr White and Mrs Cotter
