PE Ideas

PE is a really important part of your day, it helps to keep you healthy but also gives you more energy and gets you into the right mindset for your day ahead! Have a go at these activities, which can all be completed indoors. We can't wait to hear all about it!

Just Dance:

Everybody likes to have a dance, have a go at these videos! Can you add any moves of your own?

  • Old Town Road:

  • Waka Waka This is Africa

Joe Wicks:

Monday to Friday at 9am, Joe Wicks live streams a PE lesson on his YouTube channel. If you miss it don’t worry, they are available to re-watch after! Us teachers have been giving it a go too, it's really fun.

Go Noodle:

We use Go Noodle lots in our classrooms, especially for brain breaks. There are lots of videos on their YouTube Channel, but these are some of our favourites:

  • Get Yo Body Movin'

  • Banana Banana Meatball

  • Run the Red Carpet

Cosmic Kids Yoga:

These videos are great for mindfulness, balance, coordination and flexibility. Have a look through and see which ones you enjoy.

Youth Sports Trust:

There are lots of activities and ideas on this website, including paired activities and 60 second challenges. How many can you complete? Socks in the box is our favourite!

Other Activities:

Here are some other ideas, that don't involve the internet or an electronic device.

  • Balloon games: use a balloon and play tennis or sitting volleyball with your hands, it's great fun!
  • Mini Golf: Create a mini golf course using objects around your home and try to hit a ball (or tin foil, bath scrunchie, ball of paper ect) around the course. Can you get a hole in one?
  • Dance: Create your own dance routine. Can you use any of the line dancing moves that we have been learning about?
  • Balance Beam: Use a line on the floor (or an imaginary one) and try to walk along it without falling off. To make it trickier, can you hop along on one foot or walk backwards?
  • Skipping: We love to skip at school. Some of you may have your own skipping ropes, but if not you can pretend! How many skips can you do in 1 minute?
