Welcome to Redgrave class
Your teacher is Mr Marks/Mrs Hautler
The class is named after Steve Redgrave. He won five Olympic gold medals as a rower. He was a great athlete who never gave up.
What's happening in Redgrave class this half term?
Our topic this half term is 'Could Peter Pan really lose his shadow?'
In Literacy we are writing poetry, a newspaper article and an information text about pirates, as well as learning about the story of Peter Pan.
In Maths we will be focusing on subtraction and multiplication.
Our foundation work will focus on pirates and we will learn about coordinates and creating maps. We will also learn about life at sea and research some famous pirates in history.
In Science we shall be learning about light. We will learn about how our eyes see light, how shadows are made and how light travels.
Learning to read is really important. We can improve and enjoy our reading more if we practise every day. At Milton Hall there are some wonderful rewards for busy readers. The top prize is a trip to Harry Potter world for word 'millionairres'. The busiest readers so far this year are:
