Week 6 18.5.2020

Hello Year 3!

Well, another week has gone by and we are missing you all even more. Thank you so much for all the wonderful emails we have been getting showing us your amazing home learning tasks you have been doing, it is so good to see people doing other different activities as well as the ones we have set. We are all so proud of you and can see you have been really working hard to stay on top of your learning. TTRockstars is looking amazing and we can see you have been working hard on your tables – KEEP IT UP! This weeks literacy is based around the story of Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl so if you have a copy of the book you can use that (don’t worry if you haven’t as all the pages you will need are on the planning). Don’t worry about printing any of the work off if you can’t as it can all be done from the screen into your workbooks.

Hopefully some of you have been accessing the enormous variety of books on which you can do your AR quizzes. A quick reminder of login information to access a huge amount of books to read :

Students need to use our unique school URL to log in which is They can then log in as normal with their student ID and password. Mrs Rand has advised that you use the English (UK) in filters/languages when searching for books as there are many international books on the site too and you won’t be able to do quizzes on those.  Please see the guidance Milton Hall has received:

Our readON library contains titles from our international collections, that is why most quiz numbers refer to the US version of AR. The easiest way to check which books have quizzes on the UK version of AR would be to select English (UK) in Filters > Languages. To do a more thorough search I would advise to go to first and select myON books in Topics in Advanced Search, as this will also allow the students to filter the books using their ZPD range.

We LOVE seeing your work! Ask someone at home if you can take a photo of some of the amazing work you have done, and email it to us!

Have another good week.  Stay positive.  Be kind.  Keep washing your hands.
