Milton Hall Maths Intent Statement

Here at Milton Hall Primary School we intend to provide a maths curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse community of learners. We want to equip our children with the necessary skills and knowledge in order for them to be prepared for the next stages in their learning at secondary school and also enable them to become successful with their adventures beyond school, both now and in the future. Children will learn maths through the concrete, pictorial, abstract approach, with children continually challenged to explore maths in depth. Children will build fluency, have the opportunity to solve problems and at all stages our children will be encouraged to use mathematical vocabulary to reason and explain their working out.
