What is the role of the Educational Psychologist (EP)?

The EP can assess for certain things that we cannot do as a school when our usual assess, plan, do, review cycles within school have been exhausted and we need further advice and support.

An EP can only see your child once signed consent has been received.  There is a waiting list to be seen by our school EP - the SENCO can advise you roughly how long this list currently is.  

Usually the SENCO will approach a parent if it is felt that EP involvement is needed.  

Our link EP is Dr Sarah Sivers - she is incredibly supportive and very happy to talk to parents if you are worried at all about the process.
