It is highly important that you include yours and your child's views on any paperwork that comes home for ILPs or annual reviews.  We need to consider that we are not doing everything 'to' your child to help them - they often have a voice and an idea of what works for them.  Likewise, we want to work in collaboration with parents and if something isn't working, we need to know.  Also, if something is working, we need to know so that we can keep doing it. 

 

Child and parent views are also expected by the Local Authority to be obtained.  If you have any problems articulating your views on paper, please call the SENCO and they will help you.
